Choosing the Right Foundation Repair Service: A Comprehensive Guide

“Your home is your biggest investment. Learn how to protect it with the right foundation repair choices.”

When an item fails, picking the best repair service is crucial to ensure a quick and effective solution. With numerous choices out there, it can be challenging to figure out which company will best suit your needs. This guide will help you through the process of picking the Done Right Foundation services.

Determine Your Needs

The first step in finding the best repair service is to determine your particular requirements. What exactly is broken? Is it an appliance, a piece of furniture, or another type of item?

Understanding what needs to be repaired can help you limit your options. Certain providers specialize in specific types of repairs, like appliances, while others offer a broad range of services.

Research and Referrals

When you have understood what needs repair, start researching potential repair services. Seek out online reviews and testimonials. Platforms like Yelp, Google Reviews, and Angie’s List can provide valuable insights into the provider’s reputation and performance.

Furthermore, ask friends, family, and colleagues for referrals. Personal recommendations can be a useful resource for finding a reliable repair provider.

Examine Credentials and Experience

When you have reduced your list of prospective providers, it is crucial to confirm their credentials. Make sure that the company is licensed to function in your locality. Generally, you can check this data through local regulatory agencies.

Practical experience is another critical factor to take into account. A service with a long track record in the repair industry is likely to have the expertise necessary to handle your issue efficiently.

Seek Quotes and Evaluate Costs

Multiple repair companies demand different rates for their work. It’s essential to grasp what you are paying for and what services are covered. Ask for detailed quotes from various providers and compare these quotes.

Certain providers may charge reduced costs but offer minimal services, whereas others might have steeper rates but offer extra services such as warranties, free pick-up and delivery, or extended customer support.

Judge Customer Service Quality

The quality of customer service is a vital component of any repair provider. Pay attention to how the provider responds to your queries and problems. Are they quick to respond? Do they provide clear and detailed answers? Excellent customer service can help make the service experience much smoother.

Listen to Your Instincts

When you have conducted your research, checked credentials, gotten estimates, and judged customer service, it is now time to choose. Trust your instincts. If something doesn’t feel right or if a service looks too perfect, it possibly is. Opt for the repair provider that you sense most at ease with and that aligns with your needs and expectations.

Picking the best repair company is a crucial step in guaranteeing your item is fixed properly. By sticking to these recommendations, you can make a well-informed choice and secure a company that suits your requirements and provides high-quality service.

Medicare 2024 IRMAA Brackets: Amounts and

With the announcement of the August CPI-U, the 2024 Brackets are official and they will increase by over 5.00% to start at $103,000 for an individual.

Now please keep in mind that at any point between now and the beginning of the 2024 Congress or the current Presidential Administration can alter these Medicare IRMAA Brackets, but if they do not then there will be at least a little bit of good news for seniors.

Official IRMAA 2024 Brackets

Single Couple MAGI Part B Part D
< $103,000 < $206,000 $174.70 Premium (varies)
$103,000 to $129,000 $206,000 to $258,000 $244.60 $12.90
$129,000 to $161,000 $258,000 to $322,000 $349.40 $33.30
$161,000 to $193,000 $322,000 to $386,000 $454.20 $53.80
$193,000 to $500,000 $386,000 to $750,000 $559.00 $74.20
> $500,000 > $750,000 $594.00 $81.00

How the IRMAA Brackets adjust:

When Congress created Medicare IRMAA back in 2003 through the passing of the Medicare Moderniztion Act, they ruled that the IRMAA Brackets would adjust by

“The percentage (if any) by which the average of the Consumer Price Index for all urban consumers (United States city average) for the 12-month period ending with August of the preceding calendar year exceeds such average for the 12-month period.”

So, if the CPI-U at the end of August of the current year is greater than the previous August then the IRMAA Brackets will increase. Note the inflation rate does not determine IRMAA costs.

By the way there is no language that would stop the IRMAA Brackets from going down if the CPI-U would actually deflate from year to year.

In terms of the all the Thresholds within the IRMAA Brackets, due to the passing of the Bi-Partisan Budget Act of 2018 the 5th Threshold in the IRMAA Brackets will not adjust for inflation until 2028.

What is IRMAA:

IRMAA is short for Medicare’s Income Related Monthly Adjustment Amount which is according to the Code of Federal Regulations:

“An amount that you will pay for your Medicare Part B and D coverage when your modified adjusted gross income is above the certain thresholds.”

IRMAA is a tax on your income through Medicare Part B and Part D coverage if you have too much income while in retirement.

IRMAA - Medicare Logo

Will you actually enter IRMAA:

According to the 2022 Medicare Board of Trustees Report, currently, there are over 6.8 million people in IRMAA. These people in IRMAA make up 16.63% of all eligible Medicare beneficiaries.

By 2031, according to recent reports the number of people in IRMAA will double to 13.8 million eligible people in IRMAA.

IRMAA is a revenue generator for both the Medicare and Social Security programs.

For the Medicare program, IRMAA is an added cost that the person in it must pay. This added cost provides more money each year for the program.

As for Social Security, according to Congress, all IRMAA costs are automatically deducted from any Social Security benefit a person is receiving. Thus, for those who enter IRMAA, Social Security has to pay out less to them which reduces that program’s obligation to pay benefits.

With both Medicare and Social Security projected by the government to be insolvent (unable to pay) in less than 8 years the easiest way to save these programs is to make sure more people are in IRMAA.

How do you reach an IRMAA bracket:

IRMAA is all about your Modified Adjusted Gross Income (MAGI).

The more of it you have the higher the chances that you have to reaching IRMAA while having less of an MAGI reduces the chance of you reaching IRMAA.

What counts towards your MAGI:

According to Social Security your MAGI is the total of your adjusted gross income (AGI) and any tax-exempt interest you may have.

Both of these can be found on lines 2a and 11 of your 2022 IRS tax form 1040.

Some examples of where your MAGI will come from are:

Taxable Social Security benefits Traditional 401(k) Withdrawals
Wages Traditional IRA Withdrawals
Pension & Rental Income Traditional 403(b) Withdrawals
Capital Gains Qualified Annuities
Dividends Interest

If you want to avoid IRMAA all together then the goal is to generate an income from financial instruments that do not count towards your MAGI and they are:

Roth Account Withdrawals
Life Insurance Loans
Non-Qualified Annuities*
Health Saving Account Withdrawals
401(h) Plans
Home Loans or Reverse Mortgages

*Non-Qualified Annuities – depending on certain factors a certain portion of all income you will receive from them can be completely tax free. Please see an IRMAA Certified Professional for more information on which Annuity is best for you.

The colors, fabrics, and styles of the attire are carefully chosen to reflect the qualities and virtues associated with the deity.

For instance, the color white symbolizes purity and peace, often worn by deities representing these attributes. In contrast, vibrant colors like red and gold represent power, wealth, and energy, commonly seen in garments worn by warrior deities or goddesses associated with prosperity.

Compared to traditional garments, sacred threads hold a unique place in Hindu worship. They're believed to symbolize protection, blessings, and divine energy. The crafting of these threads is a revered art form passed down through generations, with each artisan infusing their expertise and spiritual devotion into every weave.

Lowering Your IRMAA Based on Life-Changing Events

You may be eligible for a lower IRMAA if you have experienced significant life changes, such as marriage, divorce or loss of income. That’s right. You may be able to use these events to qualify for a lower IRMAA.

A sudden decrease in income could significantly affect the amount you’re expected to pay towards your Medicare Part B and D premiums. For instance, if you’ve recently retired and are now receiving less from your pension check than when working full-time, this is considered a valid reason for re-evaluating your IRMAA surcharge.

Using Amended Tax Returns to Lower Your IRMAA

Your tax return plays an integral role in determining the standard monthly adjustment. Specifically, Social Security uses modified adjusted gross income (MAGI) data from IRS tax returns two years prior – essentially looking back at what was earned then – not necessarily reflecting where things stand today. The good news is that by using amended tax returns following significant changes in circumstances; it’s possible we can work together towards lowering that pesky additional charge.

When calculating IRMAA amounts initially determined by MAGI details found within your IRS tax return two years ago – so let’s say 2023 figures would determine adjustments applied during 2023 – they aren’t always representative of present financial status due major shifts experienced since those records were last filed. Thankfully though there exists potential relief available via submitting updated documents showing revised earnings post any life-altering situations occurring subsequently thereby potentially leading toward reductions concerning these extra payments.

2025 IRMAA Brackets: Medicare Costs

With more and more people receiving IRMAA Letters from Social Security the question that is starting to arise is where will the 2025 IRMAA Brackets be?

With any luck and an absence of Congress they will hopefully be much higher than where they are today.

What is IRMAA?

IRMAA is short for Medicare’s Income Related Monthly Adjustment Amount. It is a surcharge on top a Medicare beneficiaries Part B and Part D medicare prescription, if they are earning too much taxable income.

Simply put, IRMAA is a tax on income through Medicare.

What are IRMAA Brackets?

According to Social Security.gov IRMAA brackets are “a set of statutory percentage-based tables used to adjust Medicare Part B and Part D prescription drug coverage premiums.

“The higher the beneficiary’s range of modified adjusted gross income (MAGI), the higher the IRMAA. There are three sets of tables”.

These brackets “use the beneficiary’s tax status when using the table”. The tax status is broken into:

  1. Single, head–of–household, or qualifying widow(er) with dependent child tax filing status.
  2. Married filing jointly.
  3. Married filing separately.

Do IRMAA Brackets change?

Yes, the IRMAA Brackets should change annually if there is inflation.

According to legislation Congress passed in the 2003 Medicare Modernization Act (MMA) the IRMAA Brackets must adjust annually based on inflation.

The reason why the IRMAA Brackets should change is that in 2010 with the passing of the Affordable Care Act the IRMAA Brackets were legislated to NOT change until 2028.

Starting in 2010 the IRMAA Brackets did not adjust at all regardless of what inflation was doing. By 2018 with the passing of the Bi-Partisan Budget Act (BBP 2018) not only did the IRMAA Brackets start to adjust again but the 5th IRMAA Threshold was created.

Since the passing of the BBPA in 2018 the IRMAA Thresholds have adjusted each year based on inflation.
